MygovID Ireland – MygovID Login Ireland. You’ll need to create a MyGovID account to use some online government services. MygovID Ireland validates your identification and gives you a single account to access a variety of government services.
MygovID Ireland accounts come in two varieties:
A simple MyGovID account is a basic account.
Some services are available, such as getting a statement of your PRSI contributions or confirming your eligibility for Treatment Benefit Scheme benefits. To create a simple account, all you need is an email address.
A verified account is a more secure MyGovID account that grants you access to all MyGovID services. You will be requested to input a verification code provided to your mobile phone every time you visit your verified MyGovID account. Your account is extremely safe thanks to the two-step authentication process.
What is the procedure for obtaining a MyGovID Ireland account?
Visit the MyGovID sign-up page, input your email address, establish a password, and click ‘Register now’ to create your basic MyGovID account. You will receive an email with a code that you must input on the screen to complete your basic account registration.
You can get into your basic account once your MyGovID account has been activated. A list of online services will appear.
If you want to upgrade your MyGovID account from a basic to a verified one, you’ll need:
- PPS (Personal Public Service) number is a number assigned to you by the government.
- A Card for Public Services (PSC)
- A text-messaging-capable phone that has been authenticated (explained below)
What is the procedure for obtaining a PPS number and a PSC?
MyWelfare allows you to schedule an appointment online. Obtaining your PPS number and PSC from your local Intreo office, for example. This can be done with your standard MyGovID account. Alternatively, you can pay a visit to your local office.
How can I get MyGovID to recognize my phone?
If you have a PSC, you can use MyGovID to verify your phone by requesting a verification number to be sent to your home address. You can also validate your phone by taking it to your local Intreo office and presenting it to your PSC.
If you don’t already have a PSC, bring it with you when you go to your Intreo office to apply for one.
