If you register your Ventrachicago card (Direct Load Participants are required to do so), you will be able to manage your accounts, monitor your balances, add value, and secure your balance. Customers who are eligible for a reduced fare on the CTA and Pace will continue to receive it.
Customers that pay a reduced fare, such as pensioners and students, are given a new Ventra-compatible hard plastic card.
Note: Every Ventra account has a Transit ID, which you’ll need if you want to use Wageworks’ Direct Load option.
Your Ventra Card does not contain your Transit ID, which is a 12-digit number. Simply use the Check Balance option on the Ventra website or check it up at the top of your Account Summary when you log in.
You can manage your account, monitor transit balances, and add transit value and passes online at ventrachicago.com using a computer, smartphone, or tablet after registering your Ventra Card.
